Best BW Provider -- NOT ISP

Hi All,

I'm looking for who provides the best quality BW ... eg: SAIX, IS, UUNET, and whoever else I missed ...

I'm looking to go with an ISP which will be using that best BW ..

this is a stupid post. Doesn't matter who supplies the BW if the ISP doesn't manage it well you going to get crappy service

There are no stupid questions ... just stupid answers ...

The problem is that on the 3GB cap packages (As I understand it) the line doesn't even terminate at the ISP so they have little control over the technical welfare of your connection ... And people on this forum have expressed problems with the UUNet connection and were happy with the IS ..

I was wandering if there was a general consensus on what is good and what isn't ...

As far as i understand, everyone goes through telkom regardless. Some companies run proxies but esentially it is still telkom you go through, then the proxy provides the international link. All bw/well most, is all telkom as they are the ones allowed to provide international acces albiet through satelite of sat3. It just depends on how much the ISP buys. So it is quantity not quality you should be after. It is all the same quality depending on the medium and it is all telkom.

Ok, being ex IS i am probably biased but would def go with them, when it comes to monitoring/management of resource and sheer size they are the best, although Telkom does the last local part their internation bandwith is via varias suppliers so as to minimize single point of failures as far as possible, but we all have to keep in mind that if you get something from an supplier the supplier can always drop you and they tend to always do jsut as someone is watching i guess.
