Was wondering if anyone has I-Burst in the Glenvista area, and if they could tell me the quality of the line, connection speeds, etc. I'd like to upgrade my current 56k connection, and I-Burst seems like a good deal.
Thanks for your input in advance.

Afternoon
Findings, Glenvista Helderburg road (can see the entire glenvista) fluctuating like a biach between 0 and 5 lights, when it was constant at 3 lights I did a telkom speed test which I got and average between 0 and 200 after 10 attempts.
So yeah maybe it needs a booster or better towers there...
Couldn't update my Norton AV :(
I stay in Bassonia and pick up Awesome signal ... Well, it dropped recently, but lately it's picked up 100fold! :D

Update... seems like this weekend is a very good weekend for iburst down here in the south!
Current speed burstable 800k, I am busy dling some anime eps and speeds are around 200-800k with full signal well 90-94%
There seems to be a problem with my ethernet connection as it keeps dropping me, so I opt for the usb option with the exception that I'm using a shorter usb cable.
erm damn how do you post a pic??? -> sorry N00b :D

Hi Tbear
Can u give me your (average d/l & u/l) stats in terms of kb/s or kB/s cause I'm seriously contemplating a move and I don't wanna leave the iBurst d/l paradise of Jabulani to native alone :D . I wanna go where the Burst is stable (although I know a few disconnections are the order of the day).
Hook me up pls!!!
PS: like u'r siggy

Sounds like a refrain that should be put to music... Anyone like to complete the lyrics?

No it is a signal test, what we do is come there with a laptop or desktop unit to test your signal strength.
we can do the necassary test made available on the mybroadband website. The closest tower in the south is the Forest Hill Water tower located in Towerby. next closest which would be Sanlam centre, as you know WBS have a R4million rollout plan which will include upgrading of towers booster etc. I feed of the forest hill tower and i'm out in Brakcenhurst i average 120-130KB on the telkom adsl speed test.
For a signal test you are more than welcome to contact me!

...The reason I ask is bcos the WBS Radio dudes aparently have spectrographic equipment available to them for signal testing purposes.

Yeah i think they do, but they if my memory serves me correectly they charge for the signal test, in my mind the best way to test is to actually have a unit there as see it in action, tells no lies, They say there is signal in Mondeor and there isn't much signal i have a couple of clients waiting for anntenaes as they were told there was signal and they can't even get a signal
