First test out your area before killing your wallet.

According to the helpdesk they have added 4 towers to Capetown, there is also another tower scheduled to go live in PTA 2day.

I won't be killing my wallet anytime soon. The goodwood tower has been up for about a week but... I've decided against getting iburst. R2100 is just too much too pay for a modem, let alone R2800 and you'd have to be stupid to sign a 24 month contract with all the changes happening in the market at the moment. I'll hang on and see what else comes along, or the prices drop. Apparently Telkom will be offering a lower speed adsl for R250 a month which sounds more reasonable.

You don`t have to sign up for 24month there is a 30 day one.

To all Cape Town users:
I have just got my Iburst connected today. I am just down the road from a tower in Plumstead so I get 100% signal all the time. It seems to be OK, but what kind of speeds should I be expecting? Do I measure speed using the Iburst terminal program? What are other CTN users experiencing?
