All hail windows update (ya I know...)

been tearing my hair out, as I havent been able to find anything/anyone that can get my webcam (logitech quickcam express) working on Windows RC1

trust me I tried everything, from a LOT of threads on other sites.

my fav so far was a dude telling me to go and download the vista driver and try that. he said that his mate did that and ran it under compatibility mode and off he went!

did that... I went to support, clicked on my cam, chose driver... chose vista... window pops up saying sorry for you vista is not supported, please buy a new camera! WTF! why list it in the first place then! :mad:

out of pure desperation I just told it to look on windows update, and it worked...

finally a use for windows update! :D

now if I can only resolve this IE8 & skype add-on BS... :confused:

IE explorer is pure rubbish. Wish I could get a Windows 7 copy sans IE :(
