Seagate Freeagent Go Enquiry

Hey guys, i am off to Italy tonight for a week of business.

I was wondering, I dont have time today to go by an HDD but I will need one when i get there so i decided that i would just buy one there (its only like R40 cheaper there) but my question is, when i return to SA and if it breaks, will it be covered in South Africa? Or will it be a "gray import" and thus not be supported here?

Going to get a freeagent 500gig Go - purely because I have always owned freeagents and they have (kinda) worked well in the past.

Any help please.

I don't think the warranty will work here. I wanted to buy one in China, also tried in HongKong and was told that its a local warranty and not applicable in other countries.
