When you say it's snappy do you mean it opens Explorer windows quickly - ie maximise, minimise or your large applications start up fast and respond to all your commands in a 'snappy' way?

Well i run windows 7 on my mini dell note book and it runs very well.

My fiancee also has it installed on her celeron 1.4ghz and she says that the best thing i ever did for her laptop was remove xp and load windows 7.

She says it's faster and also after 2 months it's running just as fast as when i installed it for her unlike xp which after 2 months took like 20 seconds to open firefox :D

Now she and you can each cough up R2000 and upgrade to 7. :)

If you guys are running Win7 on low spec hardware like netbooks etc it might be a good idea to strip the install dvd down with vLite.

I mean the interface is responsive and web browsing and mail is quick enough.

Wrt price XP is currently 2k, lets hope ms realise that the cheaper it is the better..
