Has anyone got a T240 or T260? I am looking at getting one.
Also, other than the size, is there any preference? With the T260, because of the size and the same res, does the picture look grainy at all?

Picture on T260 doesn't look grainy at all ... maybe if you take a magnifying glass and compare the 2, then ya ... but otherwise no :)

I see, not a bad price either. Do you have any personal experiences with the monitor?

a 26" grainy 1080P :D
Its big, its 26". At the moment I have a 23" 1920x1080, so the I would think the pixel size would be bigger on the 26".

And what about a >50" inch screen?
But seriously, it will look great. Whats the price on a T26 these days?

AFAIK its only 25.5" not 26" ;)
And yeah, the pixels will be bigger ... but not much.
My formula is not scientific but I think it makes sense :P
If you take the rounded square root of 1920 x 1080, you get 1440 which is the "hypotenuse" (I think its called, been a while since maths)
If I'm right, this means there are 1440 pixels along the 25.5" diagonal path.
So if you take 1440 / 25.5 you get 56.47 pixels per inch in that line. Then if you take 1440 / 24 you get 60 pixels per inch in that line.
And if I am correct, you will have to have a microscope for eyes to see the 3.53 extra pixels per inch ;)

I've got the T260 and the picture quality is not grainy at all, in fact I'm quite impressed :)

that measurement you are refering to called a dot pitch, smaller the better and for some reason LCD's don't have that spec.
Normally saw that on CRT, good was .21mm

Haha yeah it really is.
I would actually prefer to have two w2207h's than 1 T260 but I can't freaking find one.
2 of them in portrait mode next to each other would be sick.

Oh well ... I'm sure mine wasn't exact or calculated correctly ... or was it :p ... but either way, it gives you an idea.
And the CRT size you are referring to is the opposite to mine. Its the size of the pixel I think ... i.e. the smaller the better.
Mine is a sort of dot per inch ... so the bigger the better.

I'm sure I saw some at a supplier's clearance store a month or two ago, unfortunately I'm not registered with them so can't double check ... bastards charge money to register.

Samsung T260 25.5" Wide LCD, WSXGA+, 1920 x 1200, 5ms, Contrast 1000:1 (DC:20000:1) HDMI/DVi, View Angle: H:170°, V:150°, bright: 300 cd/mē, USB Blk Glossy
Guess that explains the R4k price

You won't notice the difference in picture (besides the T260 one being bigger :p) between the two. I have T260 and am loving it (gaming and movies). My brother bought one after seeing mine, and a friend has just ordered one. I recommend using the HDMI connection if you do decide on one.

(DVI= HDMI-sound) so it wouldn't make too much of a difference if either are used AFAIK.:)

Here are some comparisons on the pixel sizes. You won't see the diffs.
2333SW - 0.2655mm
2494HS - 0.2715mm
T260 - 0.2865 mm

Shred, what will you be using it for and what distance do you sit from your screen?

The thing that irritated me with the latest Samsung monitors is the lack of 'add ons' :/
I got my 2263 (22") which came with built in 3MP webcam, microphone, speakers, HDMI inputs and 2 x USB on the screen. I thought of selling and buying the new 'T' series but they have nothing extra :/

The T240/T260 have a 2 port USB hub as well as stereo AND optical audio out.
