Hello all.
I need some advice on software, if there is any, which can measure the cap usage of specific computers on the same router. I live in a building and share cap with 2 others, which I know for a fact I am getting a raw deal in usage terms. Please tell me if there is any software available.
Regards.:D

Hi,

You can try CoovaChilli and one of the various projects which has a Web based management for the Chillispot program.
Here's a few URLs to get you started:

Coova:
http://www.coova.org/

Web Management Software:
http://daloradius.com/
http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpmyprepaid/
http://sourceforge.net/projects/hotcakes/

The web management software should be similar to that what ispot and skyrove gives you, but you control every aspect of it including revenue.

Cheers

You/ve just reminded me - I downloaded the trial version of a little app for exactly this purpose. Will install it quick and let you know how it goes.

On a different note - if you KNOW you're getting a raw deal put the router in bridge mode and get yourself a Afrihost account.

Ok. So I've installed Track4Win and it seems to track internet usage by time, not by data throughput. Kind of pointless in my scenario.

Does Networx differentiate between LAN and Internet traffic?

Yes, that is the best solution. That way everyone is responsible for their own bandwidth.
