ATI Catalyst 9.7 Drivers

Hey guys, guess what!

All you Radeon owners should head on over to the AMD/ATi website and grab the new Catalyst 9.7 drivers for Windows 7 32-bit, Windows 7 64-bit, Windows Vista 32-bit, Windows Vista 64-bit, Windows XP (separate driver and CCC packages (other languages) and Windows XP drivers will be released tomorrow). The 9.7 Catalysts are supposed to improve performance in Crysis by up to 8% on HD4800 series and performance in Company of Heroes and BattleForge by up to 10%. AMD also introduced support for the ATI Video converter under Windows 7 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit. Grab them if you need them!

That video converter a hardware converter? Sounds interesting... I'm doing lots of x->mp4 these days. Will have to try it out.

Is it faster/more efficient (uses less power) than using CPU?
