Just picked up my Novatel Ext Antenna from Vodaworld in Midrand.

I believe they only arrived today.

Please let me know how better improvement it is.
I need an antenna urgently, i'm paying for a service i'm not getting. On the map it states that i will have fair signal but no signal here now. My friend stays 600m away and he is getting full signal... I do get signal in the house accross the street but only 1 bar. ( fishborn AT lancorp DOT co DOT za)

In my experiene (with the option ones) its a luck of the draw. So even if someone gets vast improvement, you may not and vice versa. I suggest get your hands on the card asap and test for yourself. my 2c worth

sorry man, meant antenna. just re-read it now. What I meant was for you to get external antenna for your novatel card

are you in the right forum. Where did you get a 3G desktop unit? What service are you using? Sure you not confused with iBust? Sounds like you are. This is a Vodacom 3G forum

If you have a 3G Novatel card the antenna is provided free of charge. Please refer to the sticky tread on how to go about contacting Vodacom to have it delivered to you. Otherwise you can go to VodaWorld Customer care and provide proof that you indeed have a Novatel card and you will recieve one free!

WRT the performance...i have seen my signal strength increase from 3 to 4 bars. No real change in speed etc.
