Most of Richards bay is covered. Here are some areas that I've picked up SA 02.
Richards bay central
Richards bay CBD
Arboretum
Meer en See
Arboretum John Ross High way.
Veld en Vlei. (NOT Veld en Vlei extension though)
Birdswood might be covered not too sure.
I'm thinking of getting the 500mb to test the service. Tell me is it possible to make voice calls on a telkom simcard. If so what number do you get with the simcard?

I think it's for data only, no calls. I didn't know SA02 was telkom, my area is covered :)

I have to say people say they not rolling out fast enought. I have to add that they are rolling out at a tremedous speed actually. They are rolling out in town now not cities anymore. It seems they think this is product they can really make money on. Telkom has covered more than I think CellC could cover in years.
EDIT: Forgot to say. REMEMBER its 7.2HSDPA eliksir (http://sredniowiecze.zdrowo.info.pl/eliksir.html) rollout. Which is pretty good. Lots of moola invested or rather the money they make of adsl users cause they are robbing us!
Howzit Cavedog,
Cell-C has ( Confirmed ) +-2500 Base Stations in PLACE ( With Sharing Tower Space MTN-Vodacom's Masts )
Telkom Contracted Huawei to Roll-out 300 UMTS Base Stations in South Africa. ( First Phase Roll-out )
Who do you think has more Base Stations ?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ericsson recently did a 3G Roll-out for MTN SA. They put up 500 Base Stations ( Anntennae on existing masts ) in 6 Months. That is = 3 Towers per Day.
I would say Ericsson is Super Fast then. Lets all buy Ericsson equipment.

How many potential Telkom sites are there? e.g. how many Telkom owned sites (masts/towers included) do you think they lease to VC/MTN/CellC/Neotel?
When they or Huawei or Ericsson install equipment on their existing masts it will be quicker than any other similar rollout.
