Just a message to those who liked this game or games like Privateer. There is a local server up with the TNG 2.7 mod (www.starfyrestudios.com).

Freelancer |196.25.69.221:2302| SGS FREELANCER TNG 2.7 Server --- Come join the server and explore this great mod.

*(run fldirectip.hta in EXE folder to connect to server ip directly)*

Features include:

· Over 75 new ships added to the freelancer game

· Over 500 new pieces of equipment (Weapons, shields, engines, thrusters, upgrades, and more!)

· Over 40 new music tracks for systems, bars, and intros

Same here. I've had X2:The Threat for awhile now, but not really gotten into it. Space sims are hard work in the beginning, lotsa stuff to learn.

I still play X2 on and off. Huge learning curve, but far more depth to it than Freelancer.

There are over 40 registered players on the Freelancer server with about an avaerage of 4 people online at a time. The game is slowly growing. Over weekends we have around 10 people playing at a time. The MOD makes the game very nice.
