Got myself a new netbook yesterday. Admittedly the cheapest Aspire one - Linux edition.

First thing I did, was to remove Linpus and install Crunchbang. Then set up Conky to check gmail and calendar - cloud computing in text mode. At any rate the baby runs like a dream. Currently using 275 MiB Ram and 2.53Gib hard drive.

Highly recommended config.

I bought mine at IC for R2000 a month ago, also removed Linpus and installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.04. Very happy so far.

W00t, passes the 'play divx file off a samba share' test :)
What drive does the Aspire One have?
