So then I'm finally lvl 20 ... now what?

Hi team!

Yep - I finally dinged 20 yesterday and like every other newly dinged lvl20'er out there, I thought I was the bee's knees. My celebrations and high fives in Kamandan were short lived when Chris_H lol'd at my n00b heroes with their default skills.

I guess when you get to level 20 the game only really starts, since there's a big difference between a lvl20 and a lvl20. As illustrated by Chris_H steamrolling through a mission with his rit that took me 2 hrs to do (and failed both times). :o

I'm enjoying the storyline, but pimping out my heroes without knowing a thing about their classes is a bit of a schlep.

*NOTE to self: Always save the default combat bar before importing new templates.

How do I go about getting elite skills? Hardmode or just farm any lvl 20 mission?

It must be vastly different for prophecies players who don't have other campaigns...

Elite skills can either be acquired from certain bosses using a Signet of Capture or from Elite Tomes

Go have a look PvXwiki.com

Go to the hero skills tab and have a look. Use the templates but I have found you can tweak it to be a lot more effective. But pvxwiki is a good start :)

GW was really hard for me, until I met Devill online... I thought he was god like but then he let me in on a little secret... It's all about the team you have! Ever since I learned that, the first thing I do is load my heroes with the right skills. It is a mission to buy and cap all the skills for your heroes the first time but once you have done it those skills are unlocked on your account and you can load the skills to any of your other characters' heroes without buying it a second time ;)

Edit: oh, and the best runes / insignias / weapons on the heroes is a must. My rit owns everything because every hero I use on it has full armor upgrades and perfect gold / green weapons!

I dont really farm, I help some people out now and again and sell a lucky drop. Thats why I loved NF... it has awesome elite areas like DoA... I like the challenge of HM in all areas.

Also I love the hero aspect of NF.
