I tried playing a little on the local Freelancer server (196.25.69.221:2303 -= SGS FREELANCER TNG Server =-). I got as far as creating a character and connecting to the server, but a few seconds after lauch, the connection dropped. This happened about four times that I tried.

I am currently capped, but seeing as this is a local server, I don't think this shoud be a factor--or is it? The only downside is sometimes a long wait while the game accesses the global server list before I can choose our local server. Is there a way to bypass this?

Am I supposed to open port 2303? I tried this, but the connection still dropped. Any advice will be appreciated! (Going to check out Project Entropia tomorrow :D ).

Cheers

I can't access the server because it says my version is 1.0. I could only find an update to 1.1, not 2.7. Where can I get this update in order to play?

It's a mod, get it free here: http://games.saix.net/localdownloads/default.php?section=main&p_level=832

You'll need the mod manager as well as the mod itself. You'll also need to register on the website for free before downloading. I coudn't download the links with Leechget (my download manager), kept saying the files don't exist. Had to right-click and choose "save as" or "save link" to download using Firefox's internal downloader.

Good hunting!

Hi Guys and Girls

I'm still getting dropped every time after about 5-10 seconds of flight.

Any suggestions? What am I doing wrong?
