No I think it has become pretty much redundant.

The jailbreak info is good for noobs, if fxit is still able to edit the OP then it's ok to lock it.

Maybe fxit could lock it and rename to "iPhone for n00bs" or just a simple "FAQ for iPhone" :) and help all the newbies with jailbreaking etc.....
