Hey guys where can one buy one overseas and have it shipped here?
I am not prepared to pay the mad prices here, any help would be great.
I am yet to find a decent plan for this phone, so far MTN seems the cheapest.
Dont want to use the plan, just want the phone though :D

Why would you want to get a Blackberry without BIS? Without BIS Blackberry's are less functional than most phones.

MTN and VC have prepaid BBConnect, so where's the harm in getting one without a contract?

Well without BES/BIS you can only make and receive calls , send and receive sms , no internet and email and PIN messaging won't work either.
If you want to "lock" someone down then give them a Blackberry without these plans :p

I think that's the normal price for an original. You can get other brands (some are good but I wouldn't trust one of the really cheap no name brands) especially when you consider how hot this phone can get. Check on expansys.co.za

Awesome oronte, they are much cheaper at expansys (but 10 days for delivery required)! Unfortunately my buddy wanted to get the battery before he goes away next Thurs so I think he will have to buy it at the expensive price elsewhere if he wants it ASAP.
