Anyone with any experience regards,..

Netatalk
OpenSSH
Internet Sharing over Airport

Netatalk and OpenSSH work for a while, then it seems that after you reboot the MacBook [if you sleep it for days and then carry on all is fine],. on reboot, the two battle to pair again,..

To the point that last week i sent pdf's etc to specific folders on the iphone thru finder, no hassle at all,.. Every week infact it has lasted for half the week, then on rebooting the laptop,. all is dwang,. very frustrating as i assume it only really kicks off well with openssh installed,. but that sucks battery, so i inevitably uninstall it,. and all works well for days, as i say,. all the same,..

Then as in now,.. zero zip,. no access to teh iphones drives nor from iphone any access to my internet connection on th macbookp,..

Anyone with any experience here,..

If you start iphone wifi and ping it for instance,. you get 7/10,. then do it again you get 2/10,.. then again and zipppo,..

Very odd indeed,..

i have updated airport etc on tha apple site,.. It worked a while but this week its balls!!
cheers,. thanks,..

Alright,. Epic battle, but we are successful,..

A few anomalies to deal with,..
When turning on internet sharing, a popup arrives mentioning loosing the drives 'root' and 'home', i have suspected this to be an issue all along as prior, only after those screens would it be difficult pairing these two again,.... hence - i disconnected the mounted iPhone before turning on Internet Sharing this time around,..

Some folks online mention how on the iphone, if you go to the home screen, it looses connection,.. So in order to get around this, i backgrounded the wifi settings pane so as not to close its operation,..

The final step was to act sequentially and allow plenty time,. even just with straight netatalk,. Time is of the essence else it gives errors,..

Bizarre,. but we are online again via wifi thru a laptop connected to the internet,..

A last anomaly that is worth pointing out,.. all this time,. whilst "not connected",. as you attempt to use the net off the iPhone,. you actually see the web being pinged, the wifi operating etc,. all as normal,.. It seems the line to the iPhone is where the hassle lay,.. But y, time resolves it seems,...
