You just cannot keep pommie OAPs away from those broadband connections :D
Interesting article.
Blimey, is it just me, or is that tannie in the photo scary...? :D
Technology use across the age groups in the UK is on the rise, even though a recent report said older generations are still alienated by technology.
...IMO the OAPz alienate themselves by not using technology & embracing it, but I am of a different generation where planes don't routinely drop bombs on my city, so I suppose some Technophobia could be understood in the abscence of trauma counciling...:)

haha - she does too ! - the benefits of surfing.
My Mom is now approaching 70 - she's in the UK.
Man, she is totally amazing with computers given her age - she went out and got herself a scanner/printer/fax/coffee machine (ok, I'm lying about the coffee) for her laptop and got it all configured herself - even downloading drivers from the net.
She semi-retired last year, but ended up running the IT department at the insurance company she was a manager for - we're talking ordering in all the PC's, getting network guys to setup the LAN - you name it, she did it - would put a lot of 30 something "IT professionals" to shame.
Of course, she is a really busy-body meddling old bag, but that's my Mom for you ... :D
And no, she doesn't look anything like the stoned old hag in the photo - I think she's got something similar to "The Ring" in the shire, cos she don't look a day over 50 - hope she passes it onto me one day ...
