Hey guys!

Havent been following the discussions lately but I only have one question, my current setup is as follows:

iPhone 3G 8GB
Firmware: 3.1
Jailbroken
Vodacom contract phone

If I should update to 3.1.2, would I still be able to jailbreak or should I rather stay on 3.1?

WOW but you are kinda late on the up take are you not? Yes mate you will be able to jailbreak, BUT I would suggest you get the 3.1.2 file from a source other than the standard Apple Update. I jailbreak my phone with blackra1n and it went "smoothly" :p There are over 200 post concerning the update and jailbreak of 3.1.2

@bex.cpt, if you read my post you would have seen I said that I "havent been following the discussions lately"... So I asked the question, got an answer within 10min without having to read, 200 posts, cause I honestly don't have the time to do it plus I knew it should be a simple yes or no answer. I've already downloaded the firmware just didnt want to have a phone which is not jailbreakable :)

Anyway, thanks for the info!

@MikeCTZA, thanks for the link bud!
