View Full Version : VIRGIN Mobile Service suck continuation

Just a summery of what happened: This happened in November and December period If you have read please skip to the bottom

Virgin mobile Service horrible
A month ago I called in to ask that my account be returned to prepaid. They told me that they would do it and debit my account with R900 this month. So I said cool. But on the 1 st December they didnt debit my account with the R900 they debit it with R664 which is my normal monthly bill when I called in and asked why they told me that was the system and I had to manually pay the amount outstanding. This made me cross and I told them that I going to to the bank to put a stop on my debit order and that I would settle the R164 oweing to them. They told me that I would have to still pay the R500 and threated to black list me if I didnt.Know I got no pay the outstanding amount on the handset but I dont want the Airtime as I want to goto Vodacom. Furthermore the woman from last month messed up.

Furthermore I ask to speak to a supivisor and they told me I could speak to one as they are all busy




I will pay the R164 over to Virgin no prblem but I refuse to the pay the R500 as the woman last month information was incorrect. I want a written apologie from the woman for threatning to blacklist me.

Know whats going on today

In December I eventually got out of Virgin mobile and migrated to Vodacom know according to VM there billing is 2 months behind so on the 22nd of December I paid Virgin Mobile R500 as my contract was R500 and I didnt want to get debited at the end of January that would have cover November which by the way is the last month I paying for as the airtime was supposed to be revoked according to Mrs Harrison and a number of referance number on the Virgin Mobile system. Anyway January I got debit which was fine becasue that would have cover October Bill. Then in Feb I got debit wait FOR IT R838 know I ask I paid R500 + got debited R300 odd in January. I got mad and phoned the Virgin mobile contact centre and once again the call centre didnt care as they said someone will get back to you. I said this is not good enough I want the problem solved know so I left a message for Mrs Harrison to call me and guess what TODATE SHE STILL HAS not called.

Furthermore I know Virgin Mobile is know going to send info to the Credit bureu that I am a slow payer as I got so Mad I told the bank to the reverse my debit order and put a stop payment. So this is what I going to do I going to post this story every single on a forum until someone from Virgin mobile picks up the phone and phones me and sort this problem my number is 0728118031 my email address is james [at]webbis.co.za I have tried really really hard to solve the problem and I am sorry Virgin Mobile are not playing ball and they have waisted a lot of my time.

I have left referance number at Virgin mobile shop a number of them on the call centre and nobody give a dam

Read the response I got from them stil nobody has called me back this is not good enough

kindly be advised that your enquiry has been resolved you kindly need to switch your phone off for five minutes in order for the settings to reset on th enetwork and you will be able to make calls and send out sms successfully.

stay away!! I have a couple of friends who have joined Virgin... only to their detriment.... free smses is cool but at the expense of service quality, hell no!!

day 3 and nothing from virgin I know will be posting on the next forum they dragging there name through the mud they could phone me and sort the issue out would save them embarrasiment and me time

yesterday Virgin mobile said they would write me an apology letter and they had made a mistake but to date I still dont have a letter or anything from them. All I can say is I think this is disgusting that it take them so long to do anything especially when I am write

Have you had this issue resolved yet?

If you havent you can try HelloPeter. With my last issue 2 weeks ago it worked wonders. My previous issue with them HelloPeter did not help. It took them 3 months to sort my problem out :(

I went to hellopeter.com and had my problems sorted in like half an hour

Yes as you all said I am also fed up with the services of VM. Do not ever go for It if you have other better options. Enjoy !!!!!

I'm also on their case with my complaint... I keep on logging problems and everytime I phone back to find out what the status is, my previous call has conveniently disappeared. I started in Novermber last year to try to get things done on my account and to date it is still not done... they always lose the previous case...

So I started keeping record of every call I make to them and capturing the agent helping me and the case number they issue to me every time. Then about 2 weeks ago I phoned them again, and asked for status on the case numbers... but not one of the case numbers existed. Then the guy told me one of the numbers I'm complaining about has a case number logged by someone else....

Why don't Virgin Mobile get a decent ticket system that allow me to send mail, get a ticket number and my case gets logged BY A COMPUTER that don't "forget" about it, then at least I can refer to e-mails containing my responses.

I have 4 pending cases, and bill related issues that is still not done.

The best of all, we transfered a phone to our account in November and also after numerous phone-ins they confirmed it was on our account in late Dec... but to date the previous owner still receives a bill and we still don't, and the previous owner is still paying for the phone.

They really have the best call rates and the free SMSs is a blast, but they can't even run a simple e-mail ticket system... No of the other networks can provide a similar service, so I don't have anywhere to go, unless I settle for less.

My advice is keep your account simple one phone on your name and not any expensive contracts, the topup R150 gives you all you need and if you need more use topups. So in case you cannot get them off your back after 24months, the amount you are forced to pay each month is not that much, untill they catch up.

My husband, mom & I CANNOT wait for our contracts to end. Definitely never going back to Virgin again.

This morning I couldn't sms, I couldn't call. Last weekend my mom went away for the weekend, all on her own and she couldn't call or sms!! What if she had some sort of emergency?! This is not on. We never had these problems with Vodacom and MTN.

Counting the days until my contract ends.

my contract just ended last month. transfered straight to mtn! i feel your guys pain. no doubt VM sucks ass!
