We know full well how much Apple disapproves of jailbroken and unlocked iPhones. Now the Cupertino is company making it personal by banning a select few jailbreakers from the iTunes App Store.

Two iPhone hackers, Sherif Hashim and one known as iH8sn0w, both recently tweeted that their Apple ID has been disabled by Apple for "security reasons."

Sherif Hashim tweeted:

"Your Apple ID was banned for security reasons", that's what i get when i try to go to the app store, they must be really angry :)))))

iH8sn0w replied:

@sherif_hashim lol, they did that to my ih8sn0wyday[@t]googmail.com too. (right after I posted XEMN)...

Could this be Apple's way of punishing those who refuse to play by Apple's rules? It might be in Apple's right to do so according to the EULA that users must agree to when using the App Store – Just as how Microsoft can ban Xbox Live users suspected of playing with modded consoles. But will this really deter hackers? Unlikely.

It seems that the only reason why Apple banned his Apple ID is because it's his name @ yahoo.com. I don't think Apple can pick up if we are using modified firmware or not.

As FSM said here:
This is only natural for Apple to do, but lets just hope that they won’t start to ban everyone with a modified firmware. Let’s hope because we love this device, but without a jailbreak we would all be Droids…

With a name like that, it could be the CIA who blocked him.
