Google Exhange Not Pushing on iPhone

Hi Guys,

I tried to set up my gmail exchange support on my iPhone and unfortunately its not working :( When I get an email it isnt pushed to me automatically like it should be. Any ideas? Do I need something like BIS setup?

It works for me. Try going to settings -> Mail. Then check out when it checks for mail, it can be set to Never, 15min, 30 mins or push.

Odd, how quickly do the emails come through tho? Ive tested it and the one time it worked it took about 20 minutes?

Well when set to Push, over wi-fi, and EDGE for me, pretty much instantly. Sometimes I wait a little though.

No, iPhone 2G, running GMail as Exchange in Mail.

BIS not required - BIS is only needed for BlackBerries.
Stupid question parks11, but when you set up your account on your phone did you select the GMail option or the Exchange option?

I'm guessing he didn't tap on Microsoft Exchange and instead tapped on Gmail thinking it was automatically an exchange account.

The exchange server should me: m.google.com. Once you have checked this, check to see if push is enabled in that account like fxit mentioned.
