All Gameloft's high end games are cool. I finished Gangster recently...It almost looks as good as GTA on the pc...yes, the 3D types;-) Asphalt 5 also looks brilliant, but not so much into driving games. Dungeon Hunter and Hero of Sparta also looks beautiful, and quite worth the play. Retro gaming I would say Radiant was fun...looked stunning, despite being an old concept game. RPG, Zenonia reminded me a lot of Legend of Zelda. All these are pay games, but with Zenonia and Radiant I think they have lite versions so you can check it out. Have fun!

They look amazing, but they don't play amazingly. Asphalt 5 HD is absolutely terrible in my opinion, thankfully I didn't pay for it since it was free on my phone.
Sandstorm is ok, it's like a really low budget shooter that you might get in the bargain bin for PC but it's kinda fun.

Yes, and Nesoid is for NES/SNES, however they only have lite versions on the local market as it is a paid app, however nadimm's link further up the thread may help with that

Playing Final Fantasy 1 & 2 (playing 2 now) on Gameboid atm...such fun! Did 1 ages ago on either a pda with WM6.1 on, or my pc...was ages ago. At first I hated the games on my phone, but now I love it! Wanna try the PSX emulator sometime with FF7...loved that one:-)

When you open Gameboid this is what I assume you should see. If not, click on the blue SD icon at the top left. That should take you to SDCard.

I put all my roms and emulators in the same folder, so mine is in Emulators\Roms\GBA\
http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/francoislr/GameBOID/snap20100824_190351Custom.png
Inside the folder where your roms are you should see the files:
http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/francoislr/GameBOID/snap20100824_190355Custom.png
Click on the ROM you want to open, and you should see something like this(If you have a saved game that just loaded)
http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab115/francoislr/GameBOID/snap20100824_190423Custom.png
In all practicality, you will probably see the rom start, as the chances of you having a saved game is 0.
Do try a few other roms as well to see if it's not maybe your rom that's stuffed. Good luck!

oook, so i take it i must create those folders myself. i downloaded roms straight from the gba settings but i dont think it is .gba format. will check later

Yeah, and place them where you want. I have been playing roms for many years now, so kinda used to the drill. But most emulators work like that, pc or not.
Another game worth checking out: Need For Speed Shift. I am not big on driving games, but wow! It's well put together, feels a lot like the pc versions, just scaled down...but well worth it:-)

Glyder 2: amazingly complex and involved for a free game. It looks simple at first, but once you realise what the challenges are and that fact that you don't need to complete one world to fly to another you see how deep it is. Excellent graphics and addictive gameplay. It's in the market

It'll probably be the same as paying with PayPal or buying from any international online store... There's no "international transaction fees" that I know of.

I've purchased a few apps and you get charged the bank's buying exchange rate plus the international transaction cost of R10. I still prefer PayPal as my merchant account of choice, I just wish they had the Rand as a currency of trade to avoid the constant international transaction fee.

o crap really? so you pay the rand equivalent of the dollar price plus the banks bid/offer spread ;) then also pay a R10 transaction fee? they suck balls. the transaction fee is more than most apps. fnb now have a paypal partnership, maybe i can use that and not pay excessive fees.

It's SA for you, no wonder they didn't open the flood gates on the paid market. That's a pretty good idea with Paypal. Think they charge 10% on all cash transacted between your Paypal and FNB account though if I remember the charges correctly.

Yeah, was wondering what all the PayPal talk was about... I just said that I assume it would be the same as using PayPal, not that you SHOULD use PayPal.

I must say, Fruit Ninja is a hellishly addictive game and a real bargain at R8! Bought it from the market and my credit card statement registered a R1 transaction fee with R7 for the game (which was listed as $0.99 in the market).

1 BUCK? THAT IS AWSESOM. so the transaction fee is not too big.
so then i will risk my credit crad
