I recently brought some parts to make up a PC for one of my bros'

I got:
Asrock P4VM800 Mobo
256MB RAM
Abit 9250
80GB HDD

Now the plan was for me to install an old 1.7ghz P4 chip i had lying around, but...I got no display, power but no display. So i went to their website and found that this mobo only supports 2.0Ghz and up...EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS IT SUPPORTS P4 willamette CHIPS IN THE MANUAL. So im like, ok?!? So i went a brought him a 2.4Ghz Celeron and put the thing in and again, no display. So i had a lovely afternoon of trouble shooting: trying different RAM and graphic cards, but still nothing! It gets power, but no display on the screen. Oh yeah, it has onboard graphics and i have tried connecting the monitor to that as well, but nothing!

Any ideas? Can you think of anything i am forgeting?
Or do i have to drive to Kyalami again on monday :(

Happy to see your problem is solved jjtoymachine, but this is also a very good example of why it is important to read the manual from time to time...

Some AMD boards use the little plug as well, eg the GF2 chipset boards

Wait till you see the ATX II PSUs
