Hi There,

Can anyone please explain to me how to configure my laptop so that I can use my GPRS enabled phone to browse the internet.

I have a SonyEricsson P900, on bluetooth connection to my laptop.

I have also configured my P900 with MTN's gprs settings.

Cheers,

Henry

Set up a new internet connection on the laptop and it should find the phone as a modem. The big trick is the number that has to dialled - use *99***1#.

or just *99# will work... (bit at the end is to select 1st profile, i think)

for my 6610i (IR), I had to add the "extra initialization command:
AT+CGDCONT=,,"internet"<cr>

you can do that under "Start | Settings | Control Panel | Phone and modem options | Modems | <select you modem> | Properties | Advanced"
