I am looking for a replacement for the stock Android music player, and thought I'd get some comments from here. I use a Milestone (so no SenseUI or similar), and want to listen to MP3's over my bluetooth carkit while I drive.

The stock music player works nicely in terms of audio quality, but I find that it repeats a small selection of songs over and over, ignoring the majority of my collection. It seems to get stuck inside an album every time, and after a few hours of driving that gets boring. So something that would be able to handle proper random play is ideal. Or if someone can let me know how to get the stock player it to properly play random tracks, that would also be nice.

The best music player I've encountered is called cubed or 3. It looks cool and it has an excellent playlist system.

I'm busy using one called double helix at the moment, so far so good. Will also take a loot at cubed.

My no#1 reason for using cubed is that if you have a lock screen it will still allow you to change the song (by creating another lock screen) this was exactly what I was looking for, but it also has a number of interface options, of which the cube is really cool (and actually the easiest method I've ever seen for browsing a large collection on a phone).

I use cubed with Widget Locker(paid app). Seems to do a good job of it.
