Hi,
I think my modem died this morning, the power light just stays red. I have a WRT54GL which seems to be okay still.
I can't find the ADSL2MUE on the 'net anywhere, does anyone know where to find it, or what other modem options there are? (must have ethernet port, preferably Linksys)
Thanks,
Glen.
You've still got a (pretty damn fine ..you flashed it?) router so, IMHO, it'd be silly to waste money on some fancypants modem. Which is why, personally, I pair a Planet ADE-3400 (http://www.scoopdistribution.co.za/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=174) with a broadband router; I've got a couple out there now that Just Work(tm) as soon as the next job comes up that calls for it, I'll be doing it again!

Not custom firmware, no, just updates. Thanks for the recommendation. I'm also looking at the D-link DSL-2500U. Is the Planet unit available in Cape Town?

My ADSL2MUE died once. Left it off for about a day and it seemed to work after that. Been running for about 3 years since then...

I've gone with the D-link. Not a lot more expensive, and a more recognized brand.
Thanks.
