It looks very impressive. Now I have a problem. Do I upgrade to a Galaxy S in January... Or do I wait for this baby to be released in SA? Decisions... decisions... decisions.

Nice... I am due in April, so the timing might be perfect!

Damn, I'm so looking forward to my Galaxy...

Guess you can never win with tech- there's always something better round the corner. It's awesome :D

I wonder how the screen is improved? Higher resolution I hope.

I wonder how true the "full 1080p recording" is. Considering the current Galaxy S records videos that are 480p at best when you set it to 720p, and records low quality mono sound.
Not that I care much about that, I don't think I've ever recorded a video on a phone that I would care for.

Regardless of the above, I want it :D

And with the bigger size, it will have more room for a beefier battery.

Looks awesome! Might get my wife to upgrade her contract to one and then we can swap phones, seeing as she loves my SGS... :D

I just can't stay ahead, last night when the Nexus S was released I was like: "That's the one, I have to get that one."

And then when I woke up Samsung upped the ante, and now I have to wait until Feb. 2011, damn it.

Hey Cool, The Samsung Galaxy looks like an iPhone 3, this one looks almost like an iPhone 4! They are so close behind Apple it's not even real.

Well done to Sumsung, they managed to make a quite believable iPhone 4 this time, it looks so Genuine! like the Real Deal!

...says the troll who's never used an Android device before. Making a decision to get an Android-powered device is not about looks, its about the brains inside. Having had my hands on an iPhone 3 and 4 and comparing them to my SGS, I'm REALLY glad I went the Android route. iOS looks and feels dated compared to Froyo. It's like Apple's reigning you in, forcing you to do things the way THEY want you to do it. The freedom you have to customize Android is just miles ahead of anything Apple can cook up.

they can add an function to that samsung so that it gives you a blowjob on command, fact remains they are still trying to copy Apple.
c'mon, that's an iPhone clone right there.

I guess you don't know what the relationship between Apple and Samsung is.

Have you noticed how companies that copy any little thing from Apple get sued, while Samsung can even make large parts of their design and interface identical and get away with it?
The two companies worth together, many parts of the iPhones are made by Samsung. The processor and GPU in the iPhone 4 is an earlier version of the one used in the Galaxy S.

So Samsung may copy bits of the iPhone, but the iPhone is partly made by Samsung :p

It's not about the look of the phone - it's about the operating system driving it! How do those live wallpapers fare on your beloved iOS? And the customizable home screens? What about Goggles and Skymap? How about that awesome notifications bar that combines and summarizes all your notifications into one readable format? Oh, sorry... I forgot you don't have any of them... :o

Ummm... Check out the "Send Goggles to iPhone" button on http://www.google.com/mobile/goggles/#text and how 'bout http://vitotechnology.com/star-walk.html ... Also, how 'bout searching the myBB iPhone and iPod threads to have a look at some of the customised home and lock screens people are using on their iPhones... Just saying...

Oh, so now because you know they are copying the iPhone's style, it suddenly isn't about the "Look" of the phone.

what about UI, because they seem to be copying that too

It's nice that you have mentioned a few cool features, notifications does in fact blow my mind by the shear volume of awesomenez it provides. notifications? Brilliant I tell you!

All i'm saying is I think it's lame that sumsung is copying Apple, why can't they do some of their own innovating instead of copy copy copy?

if posting "Hey lol that looks like an iPhone" is trolling, then so be it.

Oh, so now Apple is following Google's lead? Nice to know... :p

For me (and I'm guessing gazillions of Android users out there) it's never been about the look of the phone. It's about the OS and the brute power these devices have.

Methinks icons in some form or another are pretty much how you represent stuff these days. Icons aren't new to the iPhone, ya know?

Granted, Samsung tried to copy the look of iOS with TouchWiz, but most Android users would tell you it sucks balls and then install LauncherPro.

It beats those annoying popups you get in iOS. If I had the option to choose a chocolate cake, or a chocolate-caramel cake with a brownie on top, the obvious choice would be to take the latter...

Again - these "aWsum f4atureZ" that I mentiond have nothing to do with "sumsung", they are part of Android, developed by the Google corporation we all love so dearly. If you hate it so much, stop using their products and go over to Apple's search engine and get an "Amail" email address... ;)

if posting "Hey lol that looks like an iPhone" is trolling, then so be it.
In an Android forum, it pretty much is. The same would apply if I posted "Hy lol that works like Android" in the Apple forums.

LMAO. You two make me laugh. End of the day. Apple is apple. Sureas Samsung have "copied" certain features of the iPhone, however, I would say they perfected the whole package instead of merely copying. (besides the look, there they just copied 99%)

Either way, if you like apple's and other fruits... Im sure you'll find at fruitn veg city aka Apple Forum.
