I must say that when I registered in September I really enjoyed this site. There was a lot of interesting threads going and a lot of opinions voiced.
However the last couple of days has been a nightmare. I keep on refreshing to see if there's anything interesting going on, but if you call grown up people moaning and bitching about things they cannot change then it just becomes sad.
If you do not like race/political related topics - DON'T READ IT. As easy as that. And suggesting that Off Topic is to be taken away I think is a very selfish post.
We have to find the answer to the problem that caters to all formulites sensibilities. Not just to one.
I guess I have now turned out to be one of the sensitive people on this forum, but I joined up to this forum for the fun (re gummi bears, old movies, jokes,) Not for all the bitching. I have already banned myself from going into any thread I think I might get upset. Not as if I would be insulting anybody, cause I have more control than that.:mad:
I guess I should have put this under the gripes, mod, pls move cause I will not retype this (where will I get the inspiration?):D

I think people are taking everything in Off Topic way too serious. The crux of the forum is the technical bits. Off Topic is just like the pub around the corner where people get together in the big city that is MyADSL to meet and mingle.
Xenophon, please take a deep breath. You post is complaining about people who complain about posts they should never have read. :D

Take a step back and put it all in perspective. When you are ready for some fun again come in and enjoy. If there is the odd serious topic you just know is too much for you to digest, skip it. I do it often!
It is easy after a while to spot the topics you don't like...

This whole sites been kinda empty/slow for a while, especially in iburst...
i chat on another forum, "zapunx" and there everyones talking **** the whole time about anything, nice vibe and all and there are way fewer members than MyADSL!

Suggesting that OT be taken away was because of a few bad elements and events the past few weeks.. the past few days have been fine with regards to posts which make one sigh. Posting a mod's PM is not ok, and neither is personal/racial attacks.. that can be left for the playground.
From now on I skip over the Off Topic posts on the New Posts page. It saves sanity and I can be in denial about the fact that the dodgy threads are detrimental to the site..

Ppl are very small minded at times. So that is why I am also keeping away from the *high-flame* topics

I agree, I am also over sensitive at times, but still this forum is the best, most balanced, and as well contains matters close at heart, in the whole of ZA.
Dont change it..! Please Mad leave as is...also others. Hope this "change the forum" attitude will stop, rather educate the incumbents. Therefore I agree with new rating feature as tool to tell someone that he screwed up. A single opinion won't count but a lot would surely make someone think. This wont change my explosive attitude..LoL.. ask antowan Telkom buster! but I will not post any crap unless attacked and moderators do nothing ! (Not bashing, they cannot read all and are not there 24/7)

I feel the same way im actually spending allot of time in othe forums now, which is strange cause i used to love this place.

That isn't the point if you cared to read the other threads discussing it. It's not that these things offend me, or that I do bother reading them - it filters through to the comunity at large, then we have people starting to gang up on them because they were offended by some such post. There are alot of people being named racist in other forums and the 'community' in large because of their posts in off-topic.
