I have been with Autopage for about 10 years now and I have never received a service related call from them. I recently told a call centre person that as soon as this contract ( the last of three) is finished I'm gone. I just cannot handle their poor service mixed with all their red tape.
So today I was a little surprised to get a call from them. They wanted to reward me for being such a long standing customer with an exclusive offer for me. The surprise turned to sardonic curiosity. What offer can the company who still insist on trying to charge me more than R10 a month to save them paper and postage to email me my statements offer me?
He starts off with " a state of the art data modem capable of more than 3mg per second worth more than R1500 FREE!":wtf:
me: my current data modem from cell c can do more than 7.
agent: 7 what?
me: 7 megs.
agent: ... oh .... But you get 600 megs a month for only R280 per month.
me: whut? Why so expensive?
agent: I assure you sir that's a great deal.
me: no, no it's not. If I took my cell c data package on contract I would be paying R149 per month for 2 gigs a month. You're charging me double for less than half the data. As it is I took it on prepaid so I am getting two months for free. And that's not taking into count the fact that it only starts in Jan and I got 2gigs for free in Dec.
agent: .... oh... Well you don't have to take it. The choice is yours.
me: I choose no. I'm not interested.
