Reasoning request

Well I would just like to ask a request that if a Post gets removed from the forums, that a reason is submitted to the person concerned.

I posted a Joke that I got via email this morning in the off topic section, and while one person seemed highly offended by it. I did not expect it to be deleted. I had thought it might be due to the fact that it seemed to be advertising though not due to the fact that it was joke, bad or not, Jokes are just like that some people think they are funny, Some people do not.

I felt like a right tit when I got caught this morning but still.

I'm not upset I would just like to know if it is possible to actually inform somebody when this happens as to why to give us clarity as to what we did "wrong" so we could know what not to do in the future?

Another Idea -

Dont remove the post, Close the thread and Edit the posting and add a reason for thread being closed

If I did that... I would be on all of their ignore lists :D

I'm seriously not offended that it was removed, I just would like to know why?
