Yes a very nice price.
The memory sticks are also sweetly priced.
I am capped so can not acess the web site.
I am in Port Elizabeth do they ship and how much will they charge for shipping?
BTW I bought my psp for R2200 so that price really is decent.
I downgraded my psp to 1.50 and can play all the old games from mem stick but all the new games like GTA ect requires firmware 2.0 or above.

Hi
We do ship to all the main centres in South Africa. It's an overnight delivery service.
Shipping to the main centres is R30. All orders over R2000 is free.
EDIT: If you're in the Cape Town area you are most welcome to collect the order.
Those prices are only valid till the end of October. I would like to keep the prices as low as possible but the Rand/Dollar exchange rate is not doing too well so prices might be bumped up slightly in November.

That's something I cannot unfortunately guarantee...
I do have an application that will try and correct those dead pixels though.
Does SONY's guarantee cover dead pixels?

i've had people who have returned their PSP's after having 3 or more dead pixels, and they got it replaced.
i suppose you better be lucky not to get any. :D

The mem sticks aren't priced too badly though. Is that Sony or Sandisk ?

They are official Sony. They also come with the adaptor to convert the DUO to Pro.

When I sms'ed you last you said you were out of stock on the memory cards.
Have you received stock again and is the price the same.
What do you mean by the sticks come with a converter from Duo to pro?

Well looking here: http://www.mobymemory.com/proddetail.asp?prod=msdp256%5F001 it looks likes it's the other way round. [i.e make a Pro into a "normal" Memory stick to work in other older Sony devices]

I really hope my 1gig stick arrives tomorrow.
R780 isnt to bad considering all the other places I went to look in PE is asking around R1400. Crazy!!!
Also SEAN what is this program you can use to see if you can perhaps remove the dead or stuck pixels. My console have 3 I think but it doesnt really bother me. Would just like to see if they are really dead or just stuck.

I have received such a good response from everyone on this forum.
The 1GB should be arriving today or tomorrow.
The adapter allows for backward compatibilty. Remember the Pro and the DUO are different in size, the Pro being longer. The adapter fits onto the DUO and extends it allowing you to use it in older Sony products.
EDIT: Wisecrack: I'll get you the details of the software to try and correct your dead pixels.

Hmmmmf,
Me needs more space..... me doesn't like the idea of paying R2500 for a PSP and then having to fork out another R1500 for a 2GB stick to actually use the functionality of the device.
Screw you Sony and your expensive Proprietry crap!
Me is likening Sony to Telkom .....
Me was thinking about Xbox360 over PS3 but it's another Monopoly.
Me will rather look at the Nintendo Revolution and play Super Mario again.

Keep in mind that this is only for 'stuck' pixels, ie after playing a bright game, a pixel or pixels remain white on the black background. This won't fix actual hardware defective dead pixels.
EDIT: Also keep in mind that you might walk away with more stuck pixels than before:

I've read about the Japanese PSP's being built with the Sharp LCD's which were of a better quality than the Samsung LCD's currently being used.
But that's heresay....
