Need some advice, got a fax machine from the UK, will it work here in SA? I know the plugs are completley different but if I manage to change them will it work?

You would have to upgrade the firmware of the Fax. The Virtaul Path Identifier (VPI) would need to be changed from 0 to 8 and the Virtual Cicuit Identifier (VCI) needs to be changed from 32 to 35.
Maximum Packet lengths will need to be changed from 1500(Receive) and 1500(Transmit) to 151(Receive) and 151(Transmit) or Telskum will be charging you for 10 fax's at a time.
You will also need to get a converter for the power.
