Hey guys,

Has anyone else been experiencing problems with the voting engine? Whenever I try and vote, it tells me that "You have already voted!". I am on a corporate network . Is this seen as one IP address because of the 'vote per ip address' thingy?

If so, then this is not good as the results could be innacurate. More people might want to vote but can't. :( A friend of mine here says that he voted this morning and maybe because of that it sees this network as one ip address and noone else on our network of +-3000 users can vote.

If this is the case then MyADSL needs to do something about this, like maybe only allow logged in members able to vote.

What do you think?

Afaik voting should rather be restricted to one vote per logged in user.

This would increase user votes by removing ip restrictions, and also increase user signups ;-)

Gabba, same with sentech users.

If one votes, no one else using sentech can vote.
Not sure how many are using sentech tho :p

I was unable to vote as well. RPM - please put me down as "madness".

Hi guys

We use an IP based system (I really dislike cookies for obvious reasons). We have disabled it for a while but it caused severe abuse of the polls... If anybody can come up with a better solution I will certainly use it.

Regards,

RPM

Prehaps logon by email address? ie people type in their email address (i can be stored in a cookie for easy access) and select their vote ....

It is also effecting me - that's what happens when you share a 512 ADSL line with 700 ppl :(

I don't know RPM

But atm if people are on a network of 3000 ppl, only one can vote. It really sucks.

Ballots could be sent around to registered users for contentious issues?
