myADSL domain names and logins

Mods/rpm, don't know if something can be done about this, but hopefully there can.

I am thinking that there should be some sort of 'Single Sign on' for the forums (over the different domains).

Problem: I logon to the forums via www.mybroadband.co.za. You can also logon using mybroadband.co.za, www.myadsl.co.za and myadsl.co.za.

If I read a thread, and someone puts in a URL link to one of the other domains, eg. myadsl.co.za, I have to login to that 'domain forum' to be able to post on that linked thread.

Not a major problem, just a bit annoying.

They probably just need to have a look at one of the config files - I had a similar problem the other day playing around with Joomla. (BTW - Joomla seems much quicker than Mambo). It was dropping the www which made my browser think it was a completely different site.

Yeah, I know I can use it, but I prefer not to save my logins in my browsers

is if forumites used the [thread=] and [post=] vbCode (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/misc.php?do=bbcode) for linking to threads and posts respectively.
I agree with you there, but sometimes a quick cut/paste job is easier/more convenient for the forumites ... oh, and the funny thing, when clicking on your vbCode pointer, I have to log in again :D

One useful outcome of this is I can have 2 users logged in at the same time with the same browser. :)

I've got a small glitch as I now have bwana v.6 but it wont let me post :( so I keep both open at times.
