Some help please... What equipment will I need to set up a home wireless network?
-A couple of laptops
-Wireless Printer
-PS3 (for media server)
-3G modem (E220)
-iPhones (to share the internet connection or print pics, etc)

I want the network for file transfer, media use & to share the 3G connection when I want an internet connection. So the network equipment ought to be able to take the 3G modem (if possible).

I've heard about routers, access points & not sure what I need.

TIA

You need a 3 g router, that should also serve your wireless need

The tp-link should suit your needs just fine..

Ah.. I see, thanks man. Thought I'd need some other piece of kit in addition to the router.

Would this be available at a place like matrix warehouse. Only computer shop I have available out here.

I just checked prophecy and the one I see there says nothing about 3G

I've got similar needs at home, and TP link works brilliantly.

I have an Intellinet Wireless 300n 3G router - check the specs on their site. Hp printer directly onto the router with ethernet cable. I must still get a NAS, but Intellinet has that too. I prefer Intellinet - it is made by Manhatten and has a super warranty. My 2 laptops, 2 PSPs, PS3, iPhone and N97 is specified on the router and all use the internet through a Vodafone K3565-z modem. Works great! MAKE SURE THE ROUTER YOU GET CAN WORK WITH THE MODEM YOU HAVE.
