My friend recently got her e-mail address and does not know where to login. Could someone please give me directions or supply me with a URL. PS I dislike the unisa site intensely

Faq -> http://mylife.unisa.ac.za/faq.html
Login -> http://mylife.unisa.ac.za/mail
It is possible to configure the mylife account to forward all mail to your usual address (login, then click on "Options", and "Account" and add a rule to forward all email).

I can log into mine without issues. Best is to log in and then redirect the mails to your normal email account. Well I would be more pist if I spelt like you ;)
I dont see what the problem is... go to the hotmail website (https://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=11&ct=1344778868&rver=6.1.6206.0&wp=MBI&wreply=http:%2F%2Fmail.live.com%2Fdefault.aspx&lc=1033&id=64855&mkt=en-us&cbcxt=mai&snsc=1), log in and BE SURE that you type your email and password correctly... everything seems fine on mine.

Hi 51427168 :)
First of all did you claim your myLife email address?
If you did that already you should have gotten this message:
1.Your initial myLife password will be: (the password they gave you!)
and will be sent via SMS to your South African cell phone number on record. (That you should save on your cell phone or computer)
2. Your myLife password is case-sensitive – enter is exactly as above.
3. Use your myLife email address as your Live ID when logging into myLife.
4. The web address for the myLife service is : http://mylife.unisa.ac.za/mail
You will be on a web page of Microsoft Outlook Live (http://mylife.unisa.ac.za/mail). You must sign in with your myLife email address which will be YOURstudentNUMBER@mylife.unisa.ac.za. EXAMPLE (11111111@mylife.unisa.ac.za.)
And then your password that UNISA gave you.
Then sign in.
Hope this is helpful or in other case hope you already figured it out hehe :D
