I went to 8ta to sign up for the R199/10GB promo, and was told that I have no coverage where I stay. I found this hard to believe, so I went and bought a 3G prepaid SIM card for R149 (after a long argument, they argeed to give me the SIM card and register the promo regardless of the fact that their systems tell me I have no coverage). The agent told me I could use my Cell C modem, I must just download the 8ta connect software.
I did this, and it seems the software only supports Huawei modems, and mine is a ZTE. Nevertheless, I put the SIM card in, and then the CellC Connector software popped up, and I was able to connect, using the 8ta SIM card :whistle:
Stupid question I cant help asking: This will NOT bite me in the arse later on, will it? I mean, the Cell C SIM is safely tucked away at home.
