Hey, where did the thread on the Palestinian elections go?

I made it disappear. It turned into a flame fest. Not censorship. More than welcome to start new one... as long as people can avoid getting personal it will stay live.

Well, got to say it is no loss - I'm happy my testy comments are gone with the wind. Sometimes/Mostly hard not to be personal - especially when someone is stating personal opinions - hard not to say your opinions suck - and how do you say that nicely and without being personal?

Well done it was a good move. Most of us act like kids here at some time or another and therefore we need to be moderated.

Why even chat about politics and religion, maybe do away with it anyway. Id rather chat about meaningless life ****. And help people get gf's and stuff.

You know what? The more i think about it, the more i agree with you Acid. Seems like people here cannot talk without insulting and name calling.

The original thread has now been reopened, the flamewar posts have been moved out into a separate [new] thread which is basically invisible to forumites.

I have run out of time right now, but will go through the invisible non-flaming posts later, and move relevant posts back into the original thread.

Don't think any of us mind it disappearing! Lots of work to resurrect it - will surely come up again sometime in the future!

agree craigsa - fingertips can live a life of their own - apologies for anything personal - now and evermore - cause bound to be more! :D

I don't have a problem with people disagreeing, even violently by talking. The problem is when you start calling people liars, racists, and things like that. It is extremely offensive to call someone that. But anyway i think in the future we need to make sure that we do not insult people here. This forum is read by both local and maybe international people and it does not sit well when we insult each other.
Hope you all have a great weekend.
Craig

i.e. Play the ball and not the man. Exactly.

Beat the issue with an argument rather than the person...

and so forth.
