View Full Version : How to access apps in the Windows Phone emulator?

Anyone managed to access the hidden programs in the emulator? I tried to follow the instructions in this post (http://dennisdel.com/?p=977) but get the following error when debugging the program:

File or assembly name 'Microsoft.SmartDevice.Connectivity or one of its dependencies, was not found
I did add the DLL to my project and have the latest SDK installed.

I have not tried doing this so have no solution. But just a question, why would you want to?

This is a hack to access the hidden programs and settings in the emulator, even Office. Don't know if it works for Mango. The sole purpose is just to see what the goodies look like since I don't have a real phone ;0) My contract is due for renewal in December but then the release of Nokia WP7 is just a few months away :whistle: So, got a spare lying around? ;)
