Change Windows Live ID region/country

Hi,

When I registered my Windows Live ID a while ago I used USA as my country so that I can install the free apps onto my WP7 device. Now I've got wp7.5, zune market place, web marketplace, but I cannot buy anything because my ID is USA and I don't have a USA credit card.

I read through a lot of threads on the internet but it seems like no one can help and it is almost impossible to change your region (from USA to SA in my case). It looks like the only solution is to create a new ID :cry:

Do anyone know if there is a way of changing your region in your Windows Live ID?

Yip, goto Xbox.com and sign in. Then somewhere there you can change the region. When I last did it, the button was at the far top left once you are signed in.

I migrated myself from the UK region Zune had set for me when I first used WP7 to South Africa about a month ago. All I did was go to xbox.com, sign in with my Live ID and change the location from UK to SA. This Microsoft KB article has some more info in it: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2424862

I'm busy updating to Mango now, and hopefully once it's done I can update all my apps and install new ones again. Been a long time now since I've been able to use the Marketplace.
