Folk after a fresh handset might like to consider Vodafone, which is offering new and upgrading mobile customers truly unlimited data for a three-month period.

The company's Data Test Drive incentive is available for anyone who enrolls or upgrades to a pay-monthly contract with one of Vodafone's range of smartphones.

After a punter signs up to a deal, choosing their favourite handset and price plan, they're free to go on a data munching spree, downloading and using apps, streaming content and even tethering to other devices.

"Use the internet as much as you like," said Vodafone.

This'll last for three months, after which Vodafone will inform the customer how much data they've used and whether the plan they initially chose is suitable.

More cynical readers will view it as an attempt to get buyers downloading like billy-o so they adopt a much higher data tariff when they start paying than they would otherwise have chosen.

:D

Hmmmm... it do sound familiar :D:D:D:D

See .. True Uncapped does exist (just not in this country)

Anyway, this is more interesting news to me .. shows you how much we are being screwed.

Meanwhile, the company's rivals Three recently opened its renowned unlimited data plans to every customer on any price plan for an extra £3 per month. ®
