Hi GUys
Please help me with something...I used to work from a garage at home
I did not have a PABX there, just one phone line. Now I moved to my
office but this is temporary.
I still need my phone at my garage,so what I asking is can my wife answer
the phone at my garage, and some how transfer the call using ADSL to me
also on ADSL at my office.
I have no PABX so I am trying to figure out what to do here.
Thanks
DD
one Sipura SPA-3000 at garage, connect to telkom line and one normal phone. one SIP phone at office.
apply two FWD accounts, one for SPA-3000 PSTN, one for garage phone and office SIP phone.
when PSTN phone in, set it trasfer to the number of both garage and office phone automatically, both phone will ring, first pick up will get the call, if it is for others, you can transfer the call to same number, other phone will ring
One FWD number can be called 25 simultaenous times at the same time
costly but extendable setup:
setup an Asterisk@home box at garage, configure some extensions
configure Dyndns to expose A@H box to internet
connect office SIP phone to A@H
you still need SPA-3000 or one FXO card to take call to A@H

How good are you with Linux? Cause otherwise you need someone to build / install that asterisk box for you.
If you're in cpt I've got a Telkom Calypso PBX that I'm wanting to flog... we're upgrading to an asterisk environment... but I dunno how much for, prolly about R4.5k, quite steep for your setup I suppose.
