WiFi Router sim number

How does one go about determining the number of the sim in a wifi router?
The sim card doesn't show the number anywhere... Tried it in a phone but cannot sms or call, how do I determine the number?

normally you just call the relevant network customer care and get the details..

Hoped there would be some other way to get it.
