Error in forum Skype links

There appears to be an annoying problem on forum post pages where there are posts of members set to show their skype name. Using antowan as an example ( no offence please! ), if there is a page with one of his posts the page has code like this:

img src="http://mystatus.skype.com/smallicon/antowann"

Now this lookup appears to be failing for some reason - the site is not accepting connections. On my PC, having moved from dial up to adsl, XP then asks to dial my old dial up link, to try some other way of loading the link.

This is very annoying! Can anything be done?

Try this:

Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections - Choose the old dial-up connection - Change setting to "Never dial a connection"

Thanks Franna that worked. But I KNOW I have set that parameter before, so maybe something on my machine changes it!

I've noticed - as a bigtime link poster, that for some unknown reason, this site chooses to randomly 'lose' sections of longer url's - if you mouse the link, is the entire url the people have posted still completely there? (assuming its a long one)

Long links are shortened to the naked eye but the entire link is still intact and works when one clicks on it..
