Feeling the buzz from my meds again, seems odd... I'd have sworn that my tolerance was high enough not to feel it anymore.

Its making me want to take another 50mg. Already on 200mg.

The thing that was picked up a few years ago is that my hips has dropped to the one side and is pushing on my spine. But they reckon it can not cause the pain in my neck. And now I need to have it x rayed to see if It has worsened or what ever. Maybe a new doctor will see something that can explain the pain I my neck and shoulder. Mostly only on the right hand side.

Not because your usual one is bad or anything, but whenever you've got a condition that's affecting enough to get in the way of your... erm "average?" day then its worth seeking multiple opinions. I consulted 6 doctors about my spine in 2005, all of them came to the same independent conclusion. Scheuermann's disease.

I'd also suggest going off aspirin. Don't want this to sound weird but I'm concerned for your health... aspirin is bad. No jokes. Unless you are allergic to opiates I'd suggest to get some codeine - perhaps myprodol, its OTC, it contains 10mg codeine, 200mg Ibuprofen (which is a mild anti anti-inflammatory) and 250mg paracetamol (a mild analgesic, which is toxic in doses above 500mg every 3 hours and 4g in 24 hours).

If codeine does not sort out your pain think of asking for a Tramacet or Tramahexal prescription. I recommend Tramahexal over Tramacet, but Tramacet is more effective (it does contain paracetamol though). If you have never taken tramadol before, you should tell your doctor and start off at a low dose (25mg), if you have no adverse reactions you can increase it to 50mg, if there are still no adverse reactions then continue upping the dose in increments of 25mg until you reach the prescribed dose.

My pain gets worse when I'm stressed or worrying or depressed. Although my pain also causes depression.

It's a sick cycle. Brufen burns my tummy. Aspirin I take after the spasmeds don't work.. Cause more than two aspirins burns my tummy as well. The pharmacy doesn't always want to give me myprodol:o
I swear I'm not an addict, It just sometimes so bad and doctors think I'm pretending and then I drink painkillers like smarties. :o
It has been good for about 3 months. I drank nothing. Today it came back and knocked me on my ass.
I know I'm fusking around with my health. But the quaks ain't working either :D

Oh well I'll hofor X-rays see if they find something this time around.

Very sorry to hear that. As V said, Please go see a specialist!

Don't worry about asking for meds, if a doctor does not like the idea of giving you any though sh*t! You are in pain! You need meds! doctor can blow himself! I went 5 years with NO pain medication, I was bedridden a few times during those years! The pain was horrific - all because they didn't believe me when I said codeine had no effect!

Also, please ask a doctor for Celebrex, to my knowledge its a stronger anti-inflammatory with very low risks, lower than cataflam - to my knowledge. I could be wrong, its worth asking about. However celebrex is a sulfur and you could be allergic, I am and it affects me very badly.

An opiate would be much better for your health, myprodol is not addictive either (10mg is no where near enough to get you hooked). Aspirin has some serious risks... it should only be taken to treat heart conditions (because of its blood thinning effects) and used as a painkiller for people who are allergic to other analgesics.

The meds you are on can cause serious damage to your stomach.

I feel that the best painkiller for you would either be Codeine Phosphate, alone with no other chemicals or tramadol hydrochloride (Tramahexal), they cause the least damage. But are very difficult to get... asking for them would make a doctor think that you are a junkie.

That's why I asked if it may be stress induced. If so a muscle relaxant and a short term benzodiazepine would help (some benzos are muscle relaxants). Along with a good spa treatment.

It's a bit less weird to do if you meet a bunch of people at the same time - you get to choose who to talk to and avoid some awkwardness.
I've become really good friends IRL with some people I met on this site.
I'm even dating a fellow forumite, but we didn't meet here or ever cross paths online until I mentioned the site to him a while after we'd been dating and introduced him to the time-wasting that can happen in OT :p

Yup. It was a Debeers mine. My father worked in HR, we were sent to Cullinan later though. I had my third birthday in the car on he way there.

Although something really sad just happened to the area, it was on Carte Blanche. Debeers closed the mine, killing the entire town.

It was also one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, I was young, but have some memories. The pictures we have of the place are amazing, fields and fields of desert flowers. We also had crayfish once a week, there were thousands of them there! We'd catch them ourselves... legally.

I'm honestly not sure. To my knowledge you could get in a car right now and drive there. You'll just be disappointed once you reach your destination. But all the bad things about Kleinzee I've heard from other people. Its true that the mine did close, but as to the condition of the town I don't know how reliable the information is. Although the mine was the only source of income, so it makes sense that the town would have died.

Friend of mine went missing this afternoon, and it turns out that himself and another mate came perilously close to drowning. The only reason they survived is the one chap managed to escape the rip current and find the lifeguards who very luckily were at the beach.

Also realised some new issues with my car while making the trip back...I'm gonna have to have a serious talk about getting it fixed asap or get new car.

Get a repair quote and compare that to how much it will cost you to get a new car.

Just remember that if you're going to sell your current car then you need to fix some of the issues, like the wheels...
