It's usually during the winter, it begins around mid autumn, but gets progressively worse until I can't take it anymore.

I get very depressed once a year, largely due to the amount of pain I'm in which is influenced by temperature - the cooler it is the more pain I'm in. I don't have meds to manage my winter pain. So I don't sleep well, less sleep makes me feel worse and the cycle continues...

When I get depressed I become reclusive and stoic, I also feel a sense of guilt when I'm around people I like. They tend to pick up on my sad state and it spoils the mood. So I go into a kind of hidden state and emerge when its over. I've been on the verge of suicide a few times but I always had one friend who helped me through it... though he's gone now.

I can't be around bright light sadly, makes me feel a heavy sense of vertigo and faintness. Even my PC screen makes me feel like that sometimes.

I've got a good heater, but I have to go outside, for school etc. I have a thick trench coat which helps a lot... but not enough.

Going to try meds this year if it happens... Things like diazepam or urbanol, very bad to take if you're depressed - High chance of becoming addicted, but perhaps its worth the risk. I don't do SSRIs.

When I get depressed I become reclusive and stoic, I also feel a sense of guilt when I'm around people I like. They tend to pick up on my sad state and it spoils the mood. So I go into a kind of hidden state and emerge when its over. I've been on the verge of suicide a few times but I always had one friend who helped me through it... though he's gone now.

Yea, 3 "attempts", got as far as writing a short note, no more than a few words, then got a knife and put it to my neck... Well, that was the first one.

I'm pretty open about anything and everything, not afraid to discuss, I find myself feeling uneasy when I talk about suicide though, as if talking about it may bring the feelings back.

I don't think TK is a good place for me to continue either, don't want to spoil the mood :)

I forgot to add....I tied the rope around my neck and over a beam, jumped off the thing I was standing on....hung for a few seconds and the rope broke...my sister was standing 1 metre from me watching this (a year younger than me).

Well, for me it isn't the first thing, its more of a climax. Everything builds up to that point. Even after my failed attempts I was still depressed and getting worse. Support is important, at least for me. The anticlimax comes much later.

Has not happened to me, probably because of the kind of school I went to. Around 70 students, everyone likes each other and everyone is friendly towards each other, but you only make a few really good friends.

My school was 150 students 1 class per grade... But I have been close friends with the 2 I've grown tired of since Grade 1.
I just feel we are doing our own thing. I'm leaving. My one friend is staying but has become very close with his GF and my other, well I've grown bored of our conversations. Another close firend has become very close with her BF and is also leaving.

She is the worst doctor in the world! My doc was on vacation so I wen't to her private practice, which was not in the same clinic/hospital.

She gave me meds for my thyroid too, said it wasn't working. Next time I saw my own doctor he nearly had a heart attack when he saw the meds I was on, my thyroid was working fine... the meds I was taking could have stopped my thyroid glands from working... permanently.

No damage was done though, so can't sue for malpractice.
