Was looking through some old stuff the other day and I found an old penny - year 1919. This penny I had found when I was a boy ( 8 years I think ) while playing in the bush behind our old house. Brought back memories. The penny is damaged and not really worth anything, can barley make out the 1919 part. Decided to give the little nephew today ( by now it's probably lost .. LOL) So for the fun of it, did you have a finders keepers moment in your life and if so what was it ?

found a old 2 rand paper note in one of my granddads old wallet(he has passed on already), the paper is so fragile that just touching it you feel it disintegrating, I never checked to see if it worth anything yet

Cool. It's an amazing feeling when you find things. This place, now that I'm older I understand, was the site of an old dwelling and I think the coins must have been deliberately hidden in the ground, because I also found these silver shillings, something like 1956. Those I'm sure we still have.

Still have a mint R1 note stashed away somewhere. Not a crease or a blemish so one day it might be worth more than R2:D

But of course you'll share the money with the MYBB community won't you....( LOL). No seriously, also, when I got my first second hand car, I found a small tape recorder behind the back seat. Don't know what it was doing there but it was working !! And the previous owner knew nothing about it when I asked !!
