We do apologize for inconvenience caused. Unfortunately, we can not comment on when this handset will be available in South Africa. The only information we have is that the networks are still busy testing for compatible software etc.

I think it will be after voda and mtn gets it, voda dont have it yet!;)

I called the call center to confirm .. the lady indicated that they have only a few, but they are available to order immediately.
Prices start at R99 + Itemised Billing R17.10 + CLIP R9.50 = R125.60 x 24 months. BTW, the lady said the first month's payment on the above contract is about R160, and the remaining 23months as above)
I'm on MTN, and have called MTNSP, MTN Shop, Nokia rep at a display in Canal Walk .. the answers varied from 1st week of April (I guess not), to the end of June, due to "Network Operators still in process of testing".
I don't know what they are testing, put MTN sim into phone, switch on, enter PIN, make voice call, make Data connection. DONE. ??
Anyway, I am in month 24 of my MTN contract and waiting for MTN to release the Nokia 6280, so I can get it on an upgrade.

i'm deciding between a 6280 and 6233 at the moment. any preferences? both not from sa but from overseas
